Christmas and Beyond...2012

We have had a great year! Two exciting things happened this year: Lorin and Joy had a baby girl, and Carson was married. Other than that, it's been the same stuff, but more of it. It seems like Jeff and I are busier than ever. I still transcribe, paint, take photos and try to keep the house together and Jeff is goldsmithing, raising chickens, bees and keeping our land together. But working hard is what makes life worth living. We love our children so much. Dallin is goldsmithing as well. Jessica plays for the orchestra and teaches violin lessons. Lorin works as a front desk manager for a company and loves what he's doing. Joy raises their little girl and keeps Lorin fed (which, if you know him well, that's very important!)Carson just got married and is planning to attend FastGrad in two days, so he will be very busy. Brena--well, she's new to Idaho and the cold. I'm sure she'll find her niche and learn English quickly. We're happy to have her here. Immigration paperwork is hard stuff. Bryton is starting school in a few days. He's been working where Lorin works as a salesman and is enjoying the challenge. Aspen starts some classes soon as well and is still driving for a local pharmacy as their med delivery person. She leaves for Washington DC in three months. That's the scoop. Enjoy the photos. We took these on Thanksgiving Day. Thanks to Sabrina for taking them for us on a last minute decision--we appreciated it--otherwise, I would have had to try to get in the pictures quickly. I was relaxed this year and let everyone kind of do what they wanted, so it's a bit disorganized, but at least they were all happy. :) We were shooting for an old-time feel. Who knows if it worked at all. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Love the Lochridge Clan.

Christmas 2011

This has been a wonderful year! All of our kids are healthy and working hard to make it all work for their lives.

The most exciting news this year is that we had another grandchild. We had a grandson named Alistair Liam Lochridge. He's a beautiful guy, and we love him so much. He was born September 18th at 6:15 and weighed 10 lb. 11 oz. Big boy! But he's so healthy and his mom is healthy and so we couldn't be happier. Here's a photo just hours after his birth.

He was a gift from God to us all, but most especially to Dallin, Jessica and Ellimere.
He's grown a bit since then. He's nearly three months old in this photo. This is one of those random shots that is a bit blurry, but so cute!

We had to rush our family pictures this year due to everyone's busy schedules, but it's always worth it and I really appreciate my kids being willing to work with me on it.

It's impossible not to have some goof-offs in this group, so I just "let it go" and had to relax!

Here are a few single family shots and just fun stuff.

Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you've enjoyed another year past and are looking forward to a year ahead. We love you and appreciate whatever role you play or have played in our lives. God bless you all.

Until next year..

Love,
The Lochridge family

Christmas 2010

Christmas was a bit different this year. Kids are moving on and life is changing rapidly for us, as we knew it would. You can't have all of your kids at once and not expect them to leave at once.

We did have a fun photo shoot this year. The wheat field was a real challenge because the farmer was wanting to cut the wheat and we were wanting to get pictures in the field. But as luck would have it for us, the farmer had to wait on bad weather to cut, so we slipped in on a few good evenings and got these photos.

Dallin and Jessica are still living close by. Jessica plays in the symphony and Dallin is still a goldsmith. Elli is just growing up and loves to sing and dance. We sure do love having them in our lives as much as they can be.

Lorin and Joy were married this November. They live even closer to us. They are both going to school and building a life together. We love having another daughter in the family.

Carson is home from Brazil and going to school as well. He's a pleasure to have around. He's still living here with us.

Bryton spent Christmas in Peru. He's doing really well and is very happy there. His Spanish is getting better and better.

Aspen is finishing up her senior year in high school. Next year will see big changes for her as she's turning 18. She plans on school and work. She most likely has to go through some major surgery this summer, so may have to let mom take care of her for a while.

Jeff is still goldsmith, as well as being super busy with chickens and just keeping this place from falling apart around us. He works really hard.

Julie is transcribing and painting. She is busy just keeping everything together and being a mom.

Our family is happy and well. And for that we are thankful.

Have a wonderful year and may God bless you.
